This is the second in the series that I call “What in the world are they doing in Washington these days?” This one deals with a topic that raises my blood pressure quickly. Let’s just get this one done and out of the way, shall we?
This is what H.Res 404 looked like when it was introduced in the House.

HOW ABOUT LEFTWING EXTREMISM?
In April, I read a Michelle Malkin article that I still find horrifying. She said that the Department of Homeland Security has a document which proves that there is a concerted effort on the part of the liberal atmosphere in this country to destroy Conservatives.
Nice design, don’t you think? Our money really was spent wisely with this one!
I’ve read all nine pages of the Report on Rightwing Extremism; a document for which taxpayer money was paid to print and distribute to federal, state, local, and tribal counterterrorism and law enforcement officials so they can watch people like me. It’s really true. My own government thinks I’m a threat to America because I am a Conservative.
While I was looking for more information, I found an article written by Lance Fairchok for The American Thinker.com.
In this article, Mr. Fairchok called the document “…poorly written and its logic absurdly shallow.” I agree with him completely. I came to that conclusion after reading it the first time. Even though I have read it now a total of seven times, I remain in agreement with Mr. Fairchok.
I admit to being many things; a woman, a Christian, a Conservative, and a minor writer. I will never admit to being a terrorist because of my political views. It saddens me that my government thinks of me in those terms.
The complete title of this document is “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment.” In other words, because I’m a Conservative, I’m a radical attempting to recruit others to my way of thinking. Not true. I just tell you what I feel; you are free to agree or disagree.
The part I find most disturbing is the reason they view me as an extremist. According to the document itself, “Rightwing extremists are harnessing this historical election as a recruitment tool. Many rightwing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms ownership and use.”
It continues, “Most statements by rightwing extremists have been rhetorical, expressing concerns about the election of the first African American president, but stopping short of calls for violent action.”
Let me get one thing straight right now; you bet I’m antagonistic toward the new presidential administration! He’s a Socialist and socialism kills countries. Am I concerned about what I perceive to be his stance on the issues? Oh yeah! I most certainly am.
It is not a perception to say that this administration prepared and signed an executive order providing for $20.3 million in funding “…for the purpose of meeting unexpected and urgent refugee and migration needs, including by contributions to international, governmental, and nongovernmental organizations and payment of administrative expenses of Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration of the Department of State, related to humanitarian needs of Palestinian refugees and conflict victims in Gaza.”
It is not perception to say that in Obama’s Executive Order 13505 dated March 9, 2009, he removed limitations on embryonic stem cell research including the funding for this supposed scientific research. Good. Another reason to encourage abortion!
It is not perception to say that Executive Order 13498 mandated that faith-based and community organizations will be placed under Federal control instead of with the organizations themselves in the local communities where the needs of the people are more immediately known.
These are facts. There are others as well, but these examples are part of the reasons Conservatives are now considered a threat to our nation because we stand in opposition to these “perceived policies.” Instead of using proven facts like these I have mentioned, the Department of Homeland Security document states that our concerns are because Obama is an African American.
No wonder we can’t make any headway with the racial problem in America! It seems to me that someone is forgetting that he is only half black; his mother was Caucasian. Which half of him is ruining the Democracy that has been in existence since our Founding Fathers wrote the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution so that it can be replaced with Socialism?
What we Conservatives require is a document stating the truth. Below, I am writing that document for us. What follows are parts of their document written from a Conservative viewpoint. Because, according to the original report, I want to recruit you to my way of thinking, I will provide both the original version and the new more likely version.
THE SCOPE from the DHS VERSION:
This product is one of a series of intelligence assessments published by the Extremism and Radicalization Branch to facilitate a great understanding of the phenomenon of violent radicalization in the United States. The information is provided to federal, state, local, and tribal counterterrorism and law enforcement officials so they may effectively deter, prevent, preempt, or respond to terrorist attacks against the United States. Federal efforts to influence domestic public opinion must be conducted in an overt and transparent manner, clearly identifying United States Government sponsorship.
[…]
The possible passage of new restrictions on firearms, and the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks.
THE SCOPE in NEW MORE REALISTIC VERSION:
This product is one of a series of intelligence assessments published by the Extremism and Radicalization Branch to facilitate a great understanding of the phenomenon of violent radicalization in the United States. The information is provided to anyone who opposes Conservatives to provide talking points for negative comments on the Internet and elsewhere. Federal efforts to influence domestic public opinion must be conducted in an overt and transparent manner, clearly identifying United States Government sponsorship.
[…]
The removal of what Conservatives consider is their Constitutional right to bear arms, and the return of military veterans facing these Socialistic changes might lead to more truths being revealed as the new administration supporters form terrorist groups or lone wolf defenders capable of carrying out violent attacks against Conservatives.
DHS VERSION:
Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.
NEW MORE REALISTIC VERSION:
Leftwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of Conservatives), and those that are mainly in Obama’s pockets, rejecting States’ Rights in favor of Federal control over our existence. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as abortion or open-immigration.
DHS VERSION:
Rightwing extremists are harnessing this historical election as a recruitment tool. Many rightwing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions of firearms ownership and use. Rightwing extremists are increasingly galvanized by these concerns and leverage them as drivers for recruitment. From the 2008 election timeframe to the present, rightwing extremists have capitalized on related racial and political prejudices in expanded propaganda campaigns, thereby reaching out to a wider audience of potential sympathizers.
NEW MORE REALISTIC VERSION:
Leftwing extremists are harnessing this hysterical election as a recruitment tool. Many leftwing extremists are antagonistic toward Conservatives who do not choose to willingly accept the Socialistic form of government this new administration is trying to force upon the country including open-immigration and practically automatic citizenship, the reduction of community programs in favor of federally run programs and the possible abolishment of the Constitutionally guaranteed right for citizens to bear arms. Leftwing extremists are increasingly galvanized by these concerns and leverage them as drivers for recruitment. From the 2004 election timeframe to the present, leftwing extremists have capitalized on related playing of the race card and political prejudices in expanded propaganda campaigns, thereby reaching out to a wider audience of potential sympathizers.
That’s a little more like it. A document that tells what Conservatives have been experiencing from liberals for the last few years. Perhaps the statement bearing the most truth was printed near the end of Mr. Fairchok’s writing. He wrote, “When those who excel at information manipulation and media control also sit in government the price of truth becomes eternal skepticism.”
Before I could even publish my MORE REALISTIC VERSIONS, word must have gotten out. I was doing some additional research and ran across an article highlighting something I had missed on the mainstream media. Part of it is reprinted here with permission.
Obama Administration Officials Pull Report Calling Pro-Life Advocates Extremists
by Steven Ertelt
LifeNews.com Editor
May 14, 2009
Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) – The Obama administration has officially pulled a Department of Homeland Security Report that claims pro-life people may engage in violence or extremism. The document, which has already been sent to police and sheriffs offices across the country, sparked national outrage.
The DHS document warned law officials about a supposed rise in “rightwing extremist activity,” saying the poor economy and presence of a black president could spark problems.
[…]
During a House Homeland Security Committee hearing on Wednesday, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano told lawmakers the report has been withdrawn. “The wheels came off the wagon because the vetting process was not followed,” Napolitano said, according to the Washington Times.
“The report is no longer out there,” Napolitano added. “An employee sent it out without authorization.”
Napolitano did not say when the report was taken off the Obama administration’s web site but she said it was being “replaced or redone in a much more useful and much more precise fashion.”
[…]
A second report, called the Domestic Extremism Lexicon, also raised the ire of pro-life advocates. It is essentially a terrorism and political extremism dictionary for the Obama administration’s internal use.
The March 26, 2009 document features numerous definitions and the headline “antiabortion extremism,” appears on page two of the eleven-page manual.
[…]
The definition reads: “A movement of groups or individuals who are virulently antiabortion and advocate violence against providers of abortion-related services, their employees, and their facilities. Some cite various racist and anti-Semitic beliefs to justify their criminal activities.”
A Washington Times report indicates the terrorism dictionary was recalled within hours after the Obama administration released it.
Needless to say, I find this entire episode amazing. As in the case of the “scare-force-one” debacle, some unnamed “employee” wasn’t supposed to have released it. This is one more example of the ineptness of this entire administration which is packed with tax evaders, anti-Americans and Democrats using Chicago thug tactics.
I realize I don’t usually write with this hostile an attitude, but this thing has me furious! Napolitano’s statement isn’t encouraging: “replaced or redone in a much more useful and much more precise fashion”.
I can’t wait to find out what she means by that!
