I am thankful that for now at least, we still have FREE SPEECH in this country. I think I have found a way to show anyone who wants to know exactly what the difference is between liberals and conservatives by using this same free speech.
This article was written on a site called “examiner.com Dallas.” Bear with me while I make this important comparison. First, I will print the article exactly as it was written by the author – complete with his links, grammar, sentence structure and bold print.
Appearing with Glenn Beck, Texas pol claims ‘Obama is God’s punishment’
April 27, 6:08 AMPortland Progressive ExaminerMichael Stone
Appearing with Glenn Beck, Republican Texas state Rep. Leo Berman told an audience of conservatives that “Obama is God’s punishment.” The statement came at an event at the Oil Palace in Tyler, TX., at a Glenn Beck-headlined “Taking Back America” rally.
Governor Rick Perry and US Congressman Louie Gohmert also made an appearance at the right wing love fest. Perry claimed he was “proud” to be in an “army” of anti-Obama Americans. While Rep. Louie Gohmert is infamous for claiming “demons” had invaded Washington and were causing Democrats to mislead voters about the merits of health care reform.
All speakers were delivering similar messages of hate and anti-America anti-Obama propaganda. However, Berman’s words were perhaps the most offensive. Telling the crowd, “I believe that Barack Obama is God’s punishment on us today, but in 2012, we are going to make Obama a one-term president.” Berman takes the politics of personal destruction to a new low.
Approximately 4,500 right wing nuts gathered for the town-hall-style meeting filled with religious absurdities and patriotic perversities. It is a sad commentary on our great nation that pockets of such ignorance and hate continue to fester and rot, threatening the body politic.
Okay. Now I want to re-write the article but only in terms of a conservative viewpoint. The words may change a little, but I think you will see the differences immediately.
Appearing with Glenn Beck, Texas politician claims ‘Obama is God’s punishment’
April 27, 8:38 PM Texas – Marie A Cole
Appearing with Glenn Beck, Republican Texas State Representative Leo Berman told an audience of conservatives that “Obama is God’s punishment.” The statement came at an event at the Oil Palace in Tyler, TX at a Glenn Beck-headlined “Taking Back America” rally.
Governor Rick Perry and US Congressman Louie Gohmert also made an appearance at the event. Perry claimed he was “proud” to be in an “army” of anti-Obama Americans. Representative Louie Gohmert has stated that “demons” have invaded Washington and are causing Democrats to mislead voters about the merits of health care reform.
All speakers were delivering similar messages of dissenting liberal propaganda. However, Berman’s words were perhaps the most effective. Telling the crowd, “I believe that Barack Obama is God’s punishment on us today, but in 2012, we are going to make Obama a one-term president.” Berman uses the politics of personal destruction which the Socialistic Democrats have flung toward conservatives to make his point.
Approximately 4,500 conservatives gathered for the town-hall-style meeting filled with religious attitudes and patriotic displays. It is a sad commentary on our great nation that pockets of such ignorance and hate from liberals continue to fester and rot, threatening the body politic. Because it does, meetings such as this are necessary and vital.
See the difference? Amazing, isn’t it? Would you care to know why conservatives feel we must take the drastic action of meeting together for support and encouragement? Here is just one of the reasons why.
Obama administration now openly assisting illegal alien workers
On Thursday, Department of Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, announced the “We Can Help” campaign designed to protect day laborers, even if they are illegal aliens. Solis said her agency recently added 250 field investigators to enforce labor laws, but will apparently not report those here illegally to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The same day that Solis announced the Obama administration’s effort, mostly on behalf of illegal aliens, Labor Department investigator Paul Ramirez visited a day laborer center in Concord, CA. In Spanish, he told the crowd: “We’re the feds, but the good ones. We’re here to help workers.”
Ramirez continued: “Documented or not, the law is: If you work certain hours, you are owed certain money.”
Mexican national, Gilberto Villanueva, told Contra Costa Times reporter Matt O‘Brien: “We already knew some of these things, but now we feel more comfortable, more support. It’s good that they came.”
Villanueva, has been in the country illegally for eight years.
The Contra Costa Time reported that Ramirez recently made the same presentation outside a Home Depot in Pittsburg, where illegal aliens gather daily looking for work.
Yes, it does make a difference. This is why blogs are so important!!
I think that their ultimate aim is to give the right to vote to undocumented aliens….to get voters for themselves.
Sadly, it looks as though you are right.
Thanks for addressing this Marie. It’s scary that many U.S. citizens and legal residents don’t feel as “comfortable” as the illegals…..
Wonder if the reason could be that they are the ones getting the benefits of the freedoms we are losing every day???
